Hi, I'm Carly
A licensed drone pilot, Art Director, and content creator based in San Diego.
Growing up in Cincinnati, Ohio, I always knew I wanted to live near the ocean. That dream first took me to Florida, where I earned my degree in Graphic Design from Flagler College in St. Augustine. Soon after, I headed west and have called San Diego home for over 20 years.
My full-time career has been in Art Direction within the home décor and gifting industry, specializing in product and lifestyle photography, branding, marketing, and content creation. Creating beautiful visuals has always been at the heart of what I do.
A few years ago, my love for travel and stunning aerial imagery inspired me to pick up a drone. I taught myself to fly, earned my FAA Part 107 license, upgraded to a better drone, and have spent the last 3 years refining my skills and chasing the best light, angles, and perspectives.
Through Graydreaming, I combine my background in design and art direction with cinematic drone photography and videography to create authentic, high-quality content that helps brands, destinations, real estate professionals, and events tell their stories from a fresh perspective.
